Cell Tower

Cell tower lease buyouts are newly emerged businesses, which is fast picking up. This kind of business is done to consolidate the many number of towers in one location or in many locations. As the telecommunication business is full of ups and downs there have been a number of merger in the industry. As a result two companies who have towers in the same area after merger will continue using one and leave the other one alone.

This sometimes will affect the owners of the land where the tower is built. Many of the landowner feel that it is a risk to lease their land for cell tower as the agreement might get terminated at any time with 60 to 90 days of notice period. They also feel that the technology would improve and the use of cell tower would be obsolete.

Hence these companies buy the lease of the cell towers for a one-time payment. This is very good in commercial areas as the land value is ever increasing and it is feasible to buy than to purchase on lease. The land owners have to keep one thing in mind that there are trick players in the market and also should keep in mind that this cell tower technology will be in existence for a very long time and need not worry about the risk of going into loss.
